About Charlotte

I started my counseling career in 1999 as a Licensed Professional Counselor in the field of psychotherapy. It didn’t take long for me to discover a passion for career counseling when I encountered tools that helped measure a person’s natural talents, interests, and personality traits. This discovery led me to specialize in helping people navigate their career paths, and I’ve had the privilege of guiding hundreds of individuals toward more fulfilling and meaningful work.

In addition to my counseling background, I’m a certified Job and Career Transition Coach with over 15 years of experience working with the Strong Interest Inventory and Myers-Briggs Type Indicator. These tools allow me to assess a person’s unique interests and personality preferences, providing deeper insights into their career potential. I’ve been a Certified Highlands Career Consultant since 1998, and I use the Highlands Ability Battery to identify personal strengths, natural talents, and abilities. I’ve worked with over 600 clients, including students, professionals, and corporate teams, offering feedback that empowers them to make more informed career decisions and to work more productively.

My diverse professional experience spans business consulting, nonprofit career services, career management firms, and private practice. This broad background has given me valuable insights that I bring to each client I work with. Combining my expertise in psychotherapy with career counseling, I approach my work with empathy, understanding, and a focus on each person’s unique potential.

On a personal note, I’m married and a proud mother of three adult children. I hold a degree in mathematics from Vanderbilt University and a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Argosy University. I currently live in Salida, Colorado, where I enjoy traveling, outdoor activities, staying active, and contributing to my community.

"Thank you for all of your encouragement and support over these past months. I could not have been as successful as I was if it had not been for our time together."
-Human resources professional in transition

"Charlotte taught me to see and appreciate my own skills and abilities….When I was at my lowest ebb, Charlotte encouraged me to siphon through the excuses and mistaken perspectives and, in the end, get a position I wanted. The kudos I have gotten in my new job are a testament to her direction and perspective."
-Corporate Trainer in transition during economic downturn
